LEAH HAND

WREATHS & ROSES was founded by Leah Hand.

She is a postgraduate with a background in History, Art and Design where she was introduced to both floristry and floriography - the language of flowers. This led to studying flower and wreath arranging, which sparked the conception of WREATHS & ROSES.

Leah specialises in foam free

wreaths. hand tied bouquets and small arrangements for intimate occasions.

Growing up in North Essex, close to Mersea Island and surrounded by Colchester's ancient woodlands and Army training areas, inspired my love for the outdoors and nature.

I made my first wreath at a workshop about thirteen years ago, which sparked my passion for arranging flowers and wreath making. Partnered with my natural creativity and careful attention to detail, I went on to study wreath making and have compiled research on the history of wreaths and floriograpahy while at University.

WREATHS & ROSES began as a passion project, overtime however, it has grown and developed in to a small independent business.

My busiest time of the year is Christmas, but I am open throughout the year.

We specialise in intimate occasions, from weddings, to Christmas parties and focus on natural methods, combining a traditional but timeless look.
